Gem am? Without wanting to be too controversial, what is now supposed to be the oldies station for the "great east midlands" ( quickly taken across to saga by clever Paul and co!) and a far superior station it is too! what is currently coming over the airwaves bears little resemblance to good old original Gem am.
I had the pleasure of being involved in the launch of the station all those years ago, trailing the marathon runner in a station vehicle, all across the great east midlands, just as the station would cover.
Occasionally dipping in to the current "Gem?" with only one show per day from its original studio,(correct me if i have the location wrong) i find absolutely nothing there to keep me from immediately tuning away.
However boys, we cant blame gwr for that, as they sold it on a while back,
What a shame the share holders, and directors of Midlands radio sold the station(s) off to that Bristol based company years ago!

Is Trent still in Castle Gate or have they moved yet?
On the Trent 30th DVD there's a shot with a big TO LET (or FOR SALE, can't remember without watching it again!) sign outside, but have they actually gone yet?

Hi Craig,
The site has been down for a while anyway (thanks Sky) due to me moving ISP's again and various other cock ups.
Now very busy getting Harborough FM ready for launch, so not sure when the next update will be, but please keep posting here, it's very interesting!
