Whilst working on radio trent, on this particular day, id spent 7 1/2 hours in the office, did an 8 till 1 gig at the Royal hotel in Nottingham, then the 2 till 6 overnight show on air (kin ell i was knackered!!) had breakfast , and then, along with Tony Churcher, trents deputy md, and my roadie, went off down to Centre Radio to clear it out in preparation for the launch of Leicester Sound
This involved throwing out anything to do with Centre Radio, including all the promotion stuff and demo tapes including Erica Hughes, and the one and only Kenny Hague!
So, we all worked like dust bin men till 6 pm, meaning id worked non stop, bar brekky break, for 33 hours!!!!!!
And they say radio is glamorous! |

Can't believe all that stuff got thrown out.
However, I did hear that there was some Centre stuff remaining, as when Leicester Sound moved out in 2002, apparently one of the old studio desks ended up at one of the presenter's houses, so I heard! |

| It must have been hidden then, or someone went through the rubbish and retrieved it! |

I think possibly the latter!
Seriously though, I got a copy of the original Centre Radio jingle package which had been dubbed from the original master (or so the person said, and it certainly sounded like it was) so maybe it was hidden in a dark corner of Granville House, or there was a lot of people diving in rubbish bins in Leicester in 1984!
Or maybe the ghost moved it! |

I think it was the ppm meters from studio 2 that he had.
I would like to know where the big mirror went! |
